hey everybody, during this term the year 6 team are creating a school concert. This is held every second year. Its about polution and there is 4 main characters. A genie named Deyonna- spelt backwards annoyed, Dizzle, Dazzle and Dozzle- two brothers and a sister. I am hoping that i am chosen for one of these parts as it will be a great opportunity for myself to be more confident. there is different scenes for each year level. the year 6 scene is about fire. There is a group of girls who will dance, a group of boys who will dance to a fire scene, a group of scientists and a finale.
Today we have rehersals i can’t wait! its going to be awesome! bye for now! Â

I find this activity very effective on the younger students at our school and I believe that it will change others thoughts about our world and how we should treat it. Our performances go on for aproximately  2-3 minutes and I think that is enough time to get our message though to the audience. I am really enjoying drama and I think that it is a good idea to get messages across.Â

On Tuesday this week when we had Drama it was performance day. Mrs Byrne decided to film our individual plays. Our group is doing Use Green Bags instead of Plastic Bags because they are better for the environment. I think that our play went according to plan. Some things needed improvement such as thew freeze frames. I don’t think I was loud enough and I might have giggled nevously a couple of times. All up I think it went well and we will take on our OFIs and be even better next time!

This year in drama we are learning how to change the world. We are using a book called How to change the world for ten bucks. It’s a really interesting book. There is put your chewing gum in the bin, install at least one energy saving lightbulb in your house, if you use public transport it will cause less pollution, smile and smile back, stop smoking the list goes on and on. The main point of this book is how the world could be a much better place if we follow these rules. I think this book is fantastic and I recommend it to everybody. We have to do plays {in drama class} and I am extremely fascinated by it. In my group I have Natasha, Jessica V., Selina and myself{Lewis}. It is extraordinary. I’m having a great time doing the plays. Our play is about planting a tree and how it can change the world. Did you know that if you plant a tree it will give 2 people oxygen for the rest of their lives. Did you know that 200 trees around the world are cut down or die each minute. I never would have realised this if it wasn’t for the experience. In our performance someone is reading a news report saying all the information that is in the book. We thouroughly listened to the report and decided to plant a beautiful tree. It sprouted and it looked great{even though it was me}. This is Lewis Vihtelic. { I wrote this at the end of May. I only got time to finish this today }    Â
